Although it is an amazing suspense book, I feel there was something amiss in the plot as it felt feigned. It is a fast-paced book with suspense revealing a lot of secrets regularly to keep the reader intrigued. The extent of the deception and swindling churned me to the core. I tend to believe that they are developed in a way for a reader to hate them. I understand that all the characters are not supposed to be likeable by the reader but I was mad at most of them. ![]() ![]() It all starts after a dinner party next door when Marco and Anne leave their daughter, a six-month-old baby sleeping a crib to attend the party only to find her missing on their return.
